Awww thanks all, for your lovely words, jess was a star, not one tear or worried moment from her :0) i on the other hand blubbed! for the 2nd time this week, goodness me what is wrong with me??! lol! i only blubbed after she was out cold though and you will be pleased to know i stroked her forhead for her til she dropped off (think thats what set me off really, its like they are really ill and you are stroking them goodbye :0( ) anyway 25 mins later she was in recovery sitting up chatting away to nurses and asking when she could eat lol! actually it was a lovely day!! they have that patient line thingy installed now so most of the day was spent with jess glued to the telly or doing a bit of colouring in and me happily sat in a chair reading my book! felt a bit like i was on hols!

the patient is now home with several cards and a pink get well soon balloon :0)

eeek my lil girl is going into hospital on thurs for a small eye op :0( when she was 1 she was standing at the telly and suddenly plopped down (as they do!) and caught her eyelid on the glass cabinet door, splitting the inside of her eyelid open, she had to go into hossie then for a small op to sew it back together fast forward 4 years and from the spring summer time this year eyelashes have been growing in the mended bit and growing backwards so they are iritating inside her eye, she has been in several times to the eye bit of hossie where they have plucked them out (very brave is my jess!) but they decided enough is enough and she needs to have the bit lasered so eyelashes will stop growing from that bit. it means a general anesthetic for her :0( actually she had one last time too, but they are SUCH a worry even though she only needs the merest whiff of it as the op will be sooo quick. so on thurs morn me and my girl will be on the kids ward at 7.30 am eeeek!! she has to have water at 6am and then thats it nil by mouth til afterwards. graham is staying at home to take nath to school and look after molly, so i am the one that will take her down for the op :0( i chickened out last time and graham went, god knows how i'll be all smiley for her. she is soooooooooo looking forwards to it lol! she is focusing on people bringing her cards and getwell soon balloons and she keeps saying i will be stroking her! bless wish i was looking forwards to it as much as her!. we had to go onto the ward for a morning last week so she could meet the team and get a guided tour (along with 4 other children all coming in on thurs too) and they watched a dvd about a lil girl having an op, and she seems fine with it all, oh and i get to wear a funky gown and hat!! eeek my hair lol! so pleeease think of her on thurs morn, all being well we will be out sometime late in the afternoon.
